Initial Consultation

It is important to know whether the mediation process conducted at the Conflict Resolution Center, Inc. is the right choice for your particular situation. The Conflict Resolution Center, Inc. will provide you with an initial telephone consultation at no charge. This consultation can be with one or both parties and will review the necessary parameters that need to be present for a successful mediation process to evolve. If you are represented by attorneys, they usually arrange for the specifics of the mediation. Keep in mind that Florida Law usually requires mediation to take place some time before the final hearing to save court time and to find as many areas of agreement as possible. Conflict Resolution Center, Inc. prides itself in achieving agreement on most issues of contest, which leaves the appearance in court mostly a formality.

Once it is established that the parties involved have a desire to resolve their differences, an initial appointment is set for both sides to present their case. If there are extenuating variables and complications, a statement regarding the issues at hand or a copy of any petitions may be requested prior to the first meeting to allow the mediator to prepare and use the first meeting effectively.

At that point, the guidelines for the remainder of the mediation process are addressed and the negotiations through communication begin. The length of the mediation is completely contingent upon the willingness of the parties involved to seek resolution. The mediator is trained to facilitate points of impasse and to create a climate that expects solutions and compromise. Conflict Resolution Center, Inc. has had tremendous success in bringing closure to difficult conflict situations.
